A message from BSA

Research has consistently shown that most of the brains cells are formed before birth, but most of the connections among cells are made during infancy and early childhood. Early experience and interaction with the environment are critical for a child’s brain development. A 3-year-old toddler’s brain is twice as active as an adult’s brain. What children need most is loving care and new experiences, not special attention or costly toys.Talking, singing, playing and reading are some of the key activities that builds a child’s brain.

With this in mind BSA has developed a thought-out program that will give your child the extra boost and purposeful attention they need at this important time in their lives. For our older children we pride ourselves in challenging our students early on in order to prepare them for the academic demands of kindergarten and beyond. Although we are Montessori based we also have amalgamated the benefits of the traditional style of teaching within the Montessori system to create a customized program to meet your child’s specific development needs. Our children derive benefits from both methods of teaching.

We do not limit ourselves to either method as any one method does not necessarily work for all children.read more

The Montessori approach believes that children learn directly from their environment and other children. The teacher is there to facilitate the child’s exploration and creativity. All subjects are interwoven and the child learns at their own pace. This helps each child gain independence and confidence, and to be proud of their own achievements. Traditional teaching is more teacher directed and children work in age appropriate groups learning about the same things at the same time. Our teachers follow a planned curriculum tailored to the need of each individual child through a mixture of child-led and adult-directed play activities.

Bright Scholars Academy blends early year’s foundation and Montessori methods help your child learn and develop. The critical foundation of orderliness, concentration and self-discipline, are laid during these formative years in preparation for their future. Each child has the opportunity to explore a broad range of new experiences, develop skills and self-confidence in preparation for a smooth transition to main stream schooling.

We strongly believe the success of BSA and the successful development of your child depends on the quality and commitment of our teachers. Therefore, Bright Scholars Academy only employs and retains qualified, experienced, vetted and nurturing teachers with a passion for their profession.

Our Programs are broken down into 3 basic age groups and further sub-groups are formed with in the larger class based on age and ability.
